Integral Kobe NC Demo Cars

NA Tuned
Japanese tuning shop Integral Kobe have a couple of Roadsters they use for competition and also to demonstrate their aero upgrades and performance tuning work. Both the Winning Blue and Brilliant Black cars feature an extensive list of aftermarket parts including all of the aerodynamic parts from their "Jet's Master Spec" range. The blue car has also had a facelift with the later front end fitted. Don't worry if the pictures seem confusing as the front and rear ends are often changed to test out new development parts.

The blue car started out with an overhauled & refined 2.0 LF-VE engine and intake & exhaust changes and was producing 205PS, and increase of 35PS over standard. It was then fitted with the L3-VE 2.3 engine from a first generation Mazda 6. This engine has the same bore as the 2.0 but a longer stroke at 94mm. Initially the 2.3 was producing 190PS but after some fine tuning and increasing the compression ratio to 11.2:1 they have gotten the output to 226PS @ 7120rpm, maximum torque is also increased to 253Nm @ 5550rpm. This is in a car that weighs 1070kg.
You can see the car in action in these videos of Touge downhill battle events:

The black car is now a facelifted NC model that features a 2.0 litre built engine with some fine tuning and Tomei performance camshafts fitted. The compression ratio has been increased to 11.3:1 with maximum power at 220PS @ 7330rpm and torque at 228Nm @ 5640rpm. The car is said to weigh 1080kg and has similar performance to the blue 2.3 car, though not quite so much torque.

The current spec of the black demo car includes a Jet's Master Spec front lip spoiler, Jet's Master Spec front canards, Jet's Master Spec side deflector, Jet's Master Spec rear spoiler, Jet's Master Spec rear mud guard deflector, Jet's venturi ground effects panels, Jet's rear diffuser with centre flap, Garage Vary carbon aero bonnet, and Garage Vary lightweight carbon boot lid.

As well as the tuned engine there are also plasma direct ignition coils, HKS Super Fire sparkplugs, ram air intake, Jet's Master Spec manifold, Jet's N-Zero muffler or Jet's Clubman muffler, Toda Racing chromoly flywheel, Exedy upgraded clutch, Jet's Master Spec dampers, Jet's Master Spec front lower arm bushes, Nielex steering knuckle braces, AutoExe front tower brace, Endless MX72 pads and 4-pot front brake calipers, Cusco Type-MZ LSD, Recaro RS-G seats, Karo floor mats, Momo steering wheel, GReddy e-Manage Ultimate ECU, Jet's lightweight battery, 17" Rays Volk Racing RE30 forged alloy wheels (Front 8.5J +47, Rear 9J +54), Goodyear Eagle RS Sport tyres (Front 235/40/17 Rear 245/40/17), Elf 0W-30 engine oil, Elf HTX 735 75W-90 gearbox oil, Elf HTX 755 80W-140 differential oil, and Elf coolant and brake fluid.

In the picture below the car is wearing the latest Jet's aero parts for the NC3 facelift front end.
