Katotch's Winning Blue NC

Katotch's car is a 2006 2.0 6-speed model in metallic Winning Blue from the Yamanshi area of Japan. This car is a good example of how using just a few well chosen, high quality aftermarket parts, can make a real difference to the styling and performance of the NC. The styling isn't overly dramatic but complements the looks of the standard car whilst giving it a slightly more aggressive overall appearance.

The exterior of the car features a Garage Vary front lip spoiler which has a more curved design than the Mazda lip, it really helps the car stand out from others. I also like how the car keeps the orange indicator lens in the headlight as I think it works really well with the Winning Blue and gives the front end a little more character. The standard plastic grille has been replaced for a smart aluminium mesh, and the numberplate has been relocated to the side using a bracket from Sheonme.

The rear of the car is fitted with a Nopro ducktail spoiler and the standard antenna has been swapped for a shorter version. The sideskirts are the Mazda NC1 appearance package parts which are a deeper design than standard and work well with the Garage Vary lip. The wheels on this car are 17" Work Emotion CR-Kai in 8J width and an offset of 47. These wheels are available in four different colours, the matte bronze finish chosen here goes really well with the blue body.

For handling and performance upgrades the car features Ohlins adjustable suspension, Sard manifold and sports catalytic converter, Fujitsubo stainless muffler, Project-Mu B-Spec brake pads, Cusco front suspension tower brace, Nopro large bore throttle, and an AutoExe airbox with K&N panel filter.

The interior features a Momo steering wheel, Razo gearknob, and a pair of Bride Artis III racing seats finished in coordinated blue fabric. Overall this car has a great selection of parts fitted and is a credit to its owner.
