The "Racing By MX-5" model was a 2012 special edition for the French market. It is basically the same as the UK Kuro model, but in left-hand drive configuration. Standard specification includes grey leather seats with red stitching, automatic air conditioning, cruise control, Bose audio, Bluetooth system with steering wheel controls, exterior "Racing By MX-5" wing badges, and a numbered badge for the interior. This model was only available as a Coupe with the same colur options as Kuro; Brilliant Black, Crystal White Pearl, or Velocity Red. Production was limited to just 25 models.
This edition was also known as the Senshu in Germany which translates as competitor/champion, or the Trophy in Switzerland (probably my favourite name for it). The car starred in a typically European commercial where the driver can't decide between his race suit or his business suit, in the end he opts for both! I guess this was Mazda's way of marketing the Roadster as an everyday race car that makes even a daily commute much more fun.
