Tatsuya's car is a 2013 2.0 5-speed NR-A model in Dolphin Grey Mica from the Yamagata region of Japan. The car has been modified with a distinctive grey/red/black colour scheme. The exterior modifications include custom sideskirts, custom front and rear lip spoilers, an offset racing stripe, 3M carbon fibre wrap on the front grille trim, and matte black Mazda badges. The number plate has been relocated to the side using a custom mounting bracket. Tatsuya has also fitted a genuine Mazda contrasting black hardtop to the car which goes well with the grey.
The car is fitted with an RS Factory Stage stainless dual exit muffler and features a custom cold air intake in the front grille which feeds the factory airbox and K&N performance air filter. For handling the NR-A model is fitted with Bilstein suspension and Super LSD as standard and the car has the stronger anti-roll bars from the RX-8 fitted at the front and rear. The six spoke wheels are a set of 17" Suzuka Brain Longchamp XR-4 in 7J with an offset of +50 fitted with 215/45/17 tyres. The car also runs on a wider set of FD RX-7 16" 8J five spoke alloys painted in matte grey with red centre caps and 205/50/16 tyres.
For the interior, Tatsuya has added a custom gearknob and a Beatrush handbrake handle, each with custom red leather gaiters. There is also a red Sparco Rev bucket seat for the driver and a Momo black suede steering wheel. Additional gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, water temperate, and vacuum, have also been added. The stock rollbar trim has also been removed to show off the factory rollbar behind the seats.
Having previously owned a modified Eunos Roadster, Tatsuya is no stranger to trackday action, and has achieved a time of 2'17 "529 in the NC3 at Sendai Hi-Land Raceway.
