Blitz Roadster ND Demo Car

Blitz Roadster MX-5 ND Demo Car
The Blitz Roadster Turbo was a demonstration car unveiled at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon. This Roadster was fitted with Blitz's latest bodykit and a newly developed bolt-on turbo conversion. It was one of a number of aftermarket turbo upgrades on display including one from GReddy and another from Sabulive.

The turbo kit was said to add around 50Bhp to the standard car giving 180Bhp from the 1.5 engine. Blitz have also fitted an upgraded radiator, oil cooler, an electronic throttle controller, and a lightweight Lithium-Ion battery with Blitz clamp. The standard engine management, clutch, gearbox, and differential are retained.

Blitz's Aero Speed R-Concept bodykit also made its debut on this car. This aero kit consists of a new aggressively styled front bumper with LED daytime lights and a re-shaped grille opening. There are also new sideskirts fitted, a large rear lip spoiler, and a quad-tailpipe Nur-Spec muffler with matching diffuser skirt.

Inside, the standard seats have been replaced with a pair of Bride Zeta III, and a 330mm Nardi sports steering wheel is fitted. Blitz have also installed their Smart-B.R.A.I.N device which can display various diagnostic readings and link with a smartphone app for data logging.

The ride and handling is upgraded thanks to Blitz's own ZZ-R Spec DSC adjustable suspension and a Blitz big caliper brake kit front and rear with 330mm discs. Exterior looks are finished off with a smart set of 16" 7J Enkei RP-F1 alloy wheels with 205/50/16 Dunlop Direzza Starspec tyres, and of course plenty of Blitz graphics.
