For the Roadster's 2nd Anniversary in 1991, the J Limited model was released exclusively to the Japanese market. Just 800 examples were built with a unique specification.
The J Limited used the 1.6 engine with a 9.4 compression ratio producing 120PS. The car could be specified with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Manual cars also benefit from a viscous coupling limited slip differential.
This limited model was only available in the unique Sunburst Yellow colour and featured 14" 5.5J alloy wheels, stainless sill plates, black cloth interior, Nardi wooden steering wheel, Nardi wooden gear knob, and a wooden handbrake handle.
The J Limited remains collectible due to being one of few models painted yellow from the factory.
