The RS Racing concept was shown at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon. The car is based on the 1.5 RS model and features black paintwork with a matt black windscreen surround and door mirrors, and a custom red accented version of the Mazdaspeed aero kit. RS Racing was one of a collection of three Mazda models presented with the same aesthetic theme, the others being a CX-3 and Atenza.
RS Racing is fitted with the 17" forged BBS alloy wheels from the USA's Club model, height adjustable suspension (likely borrowed from the NR-A model), red painted brake calipers, and a front suspension tower brace.
The RS model's interior comes with the leather and alcantara Recaro seats as standard, and this version also gets a full set of the optional alcantara trim pieces, the optional windblocker, and a set of alloy pedal covers.
There are no new parts featured on this concept, but it's nice to see how well Mazda's optional accessory parts complement each other.
