The Kansai Service Roadster is a 1.5 Special Package model with six speed manual transmission and Arctic White paintwork. The car is being used to showcase the range of ND accessories and performance parts available from Kansai, along with a choice selection from other suppliers.
Starting with the exterior, Kansai have fitted their full set of carbon fibre aero parts. The carbon parts include two front corner air splitters, a set of small side skirts, rear wheel arch extensions, and a bootlid lip spoiler. There is also a set of Kansai front and rear orange tow hooks fitted. Moving on to the wheels, they're Yokohama Advan RZII size 17" 7.5J with an unusual Indigo Blue finish. These are paired with Advan Neova AD08R 215/40/17 tyres.
Kansai Service also offer a set of chassis braces to stiffen up the Roadster and improve the handling. The complete set consists of front and rear suspension tower braces, a chassis cross brace, and three front lower subframe braces. Some of these parts are fitted in exchange for the standard parts resulting in an overall weight gain of just 6.3kg, which is a small cost for the additional rigidity.
Handling is further improved thanks to HKS Hipermax IV GT adjustable suspension, and braking performance is increased by using Project-Mu SCR-Pro two piece discs with their B-Spec pads.
The standard Mazda seats have been replaced with two different models of Recaro Super Stark seats. The driver's seat is an RS-G and the passenger's an SR-6, both are trimmed in matching red and black. The interior also benefits from Kansai's own premium carpet mats.
Under the bonnet there is a lightweight Lithium-ion battery from Blitz, and also an increase in power from the 1.5 litre Skyactiv engine. Kansai's upgraded ECU has boosted the power output to 141PS @ 5700rpm and torque to 157Nm @ 4400rpm.
