Dream Automotive Development & Design (DAMD) first showed us their 'Dark Knight' concept Roadster at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon. The car's black and red colour scheme is very similar to Mazda's own RS Racing concept, but features a more aggressive looking bodykit.
The carbon fibre body styling kit includes a wide front lip spoiler with three silver fins across the centre. The side skirts replace the factory parts and have a sculpted look including silver badge and fin details. The rear gets a three piece lip spoiler that curves nicely around the edge of the bootlid. Underneath the rear bumper sits a stylish diffuser skirt with an optional quad tailpipe stainless muffler to complete the look.
Along with their own design bodykit, DAMD's car is also fitted with 18" 7J +42 OZ Ultralegera alloys with a matt black finish. Standard tyres have been swapped for grippy Bridgestone Potenza RE-002 size 215/35/18. Mazda's suspension has been replaced with adjustable coilovers from Spirit, and the brake calipers have been given red detailing.
The interior also has a few upgrades. The door panels and dashboard feature Mazda's factory option Alcantara trim pieces which help give the cabin a premium feel. DAMD have also fitted their black leather and suede seat covers which nicely compliment the Mazda trim. The standard steering wheel has been retrimmed and now has a thicker grip and a red centre mark.
As well as cosmetic modifications, the DAMD demo car also features AVO's new turbo conversion for the 1.5 engine, boosting power output to around 190PS.
