Take's Jet Black ND

Jet Black Mazda Roadster ND5RC
It's been a few months since the Showcase was updated, but every once in a while an MX-5 appears that really catches the eye. This one belongs to Take from Osaka, Japan. The car is a Jet Black 1.5 litre RS.

The RS was a high specification model that included the larger brakes from 2.0 cars, Bilstein suspension, Bose stereo, and those lovely heated Recaro seats. As is often the case, a few well chosen quality aftermarket parts can really help your car stand out. This particular MX-5 is another good example.

Perhaps the most striking aspect of the car's appearance is the front bumper. This is a complete replacement part from Fujimura Auto's 'Rocket Dancer' aero range. The larger intakes give the Roadster an aggressive new look and when combined with the optional LED daytime lights and additional front lip spoiler, it makes quite a transformation to the front end.

Other bodywork additions include front wheel ducts from RK Design, Mazdaspeed side skirts, and an AutoExe rear wing with integrated brake light. Despite these parts all coming from different manufacturers I think they work well together and combine to create a unique look. The car's exterior is completed by some subtle gold stripe graphics, including a Foxhound logo which any Metal Gear fan will approve of.

The standard RS Bilstein suspension has been changed for HKS Max IV GT adjustable monotube dampers giving the car a lower ride height. It sits nicely on the 17"x8J flat gold coloured TWS T66-F forged alloy wheels, which are fitted with 215-40-17 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tyres.

Mazda's standard exhaust muffler has been changed for a quad tip Fujitsubo Authorize RM giving a more exciting sound. The matching Fujitsubo diffuser is sold with the exhaust as a package.

This first Showcase ND is already one of my favourites, stay tuned for more soon! (เน‘•̀ใ…‚•́)ูˆ
