The MX-5 Eunos Edition was a 2020 special edition exclusively for the French market. The name is a throwback to Mazda's attempt at creating a spin-off brand in the late 80s. The original MX-5 was launched in Japan as the Eunos Roadster way back in 1989. There were many different variations and special models released, of which one of the nicest was 1992's S Limited. The S Limited model was notable for its black and red colour scheme paired with gold BBS alloys. The black with red interior colour scheme would also be seen on the third generation MX-5 with 2006's Car Of The Year edition. Each time this colour combination is used it always gives the MX-5 a slightly more aggressive appearance. This latest take on the theme uses a slightly darker red which looks great and really suits the car. Underneath, the Eunos Edition is a standard 1.5 litre model but it does come with some unique features to help this model stand out from the crowd. The interior gets red leather seats with matching dash and door trim. There is a unique numbered badge on the dash panel to indicate the build number out of the 110 available. The exterior is finished in Jet Black mica paint and has a decal above the side repeater to show the build number and Eunos Edition name. The 16" RAYS forged allot wheels are the same as seen on some other special editions such as the UK's R-Sport.
